The Company believes in the active prevention of accidents and ill health and it is accordingly the Company’s policy to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of its employees and the elimination of health and safety hazards.
The Company will to this end, endeavour to keep up-to-date with current professional expertise on health and safety matters and to observe all relevant statutes, regulations and codes of practice.
The management of Occupational Health and Safety will be a prime responsibility of line management from heif Exective to Team Leader.
The Company will through its training policy, ensure that all line management are adequately trained to meet their responsibilities and all employees are instructed in all relevant health and safety procedures and fire precautions. Also that adequate training is given in the use of all equipment used on the premises with specific reference to health and safety.
The Company will consult with the representatives of employees on matters affecting health and safety through the Safety Committee.
The Company recognises its duties to persons other than employees and it is the Company’s policy to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the health and safety of such persons is not put at risk by the Company’s operations.
The Company has developed a series of policies and statements which define the procedures, activities, training and responsibilities both Company generated and statutory requirements used to provide a healthy and safe working environment.
